14W

14W is a venture capital firm building partnerships and connections with visionary founders, to create a radically different future for technology, finance, commerce, and community. While they aim to maintain an abstract external appearance, they sought out a new internal brand that would highlight their distinctive perspective.

We developed an expansive and dynamic brand to highlight the varying aspects of the 14W brand. This included creating the monochromatic 14W brushstroke, an inventive geometric element, reminiscent of the logo's angles, used for both impact and intrigue throughout the brand. However the true essence of this branding lies in the typography, utilizing different typefaces to communicate different aspects of 14W's messaging–we paired an elegant, sharp serif for conversational messaging with a modern geometric typeface for technical messaging. To complete the brand we created a efficient grid system specialized for 14W’s internal presentation material which provided a refined framework bringing balance and consistency throughout the brand.
